Protest Against Polish Government
While walking through the Nottingham market square, I was instantly drawn towards it because of the vibrations and the strong energy of the people’s chants without even knowing what it was for at first.
It is not until later that I understood that the protest was against the Polish government and their abortion laws which honestly did not make a shred of sense to me. The power, energy and essence of this protest was empowering and it was similar to the image of people backed up against a wall (figuratively) as in front of a government. In these excruciating circumstance people have been feeling helpless but coming together to form a strong alliance to be able to support, make the people’s voices heard and stand in solidarity with the ones directly or indirectly affected by laws like these shows the immense strength of unity of people fighting against a common cause which in itself is capable of creating unthinkable change in the right direction for the society at large.
